Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. – Ephesians 4:15-16

March 6th & 7th 2015 CBC Fellowship Conference

Feb 172015

Cornerstone Baptist Church would like to invite you to our 2015 Fellowship Conference this March in Lawson, MO. This year’s guest speaker s will be Steve Burchett from Christ Fellowship of Kansas City and Christian Communicators Worldwide (www.ccwtoday.org) and Tony Steele with Reaching and Teaching Ministries (www.reachingandteaching.org).

As in the past, our objectives for our conferences are to 1) Honor Christ Jesus by the preaching of the Gospel. 2) To be evangelistic. 3) To come away with a better understanding of the Gospel. 4) That God’s people be more conformed to the image of Christ. 5) Develop Christ-like associations with those brothers and sisters in Christ outside of CBC. 6) Strive to be doctrinally sound in what is presented. 7) Christ honoring fellowship.

So please come join us as we seek to honor and magnify Jesus Christ the Lord. Please invite family, fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Also, though we would love for you to come to all four sessions, it is not necessary as the sessions are autonomous from one another, so please come to what sessions you can.

Steve Burchett

Steve is a seminar leader, writer, and editorial assistant for Christian Communicators Worldwide. Since 2007, Steve has traveled to churches around the country teaching a seminar on childhood conversion, typically staying through Sunday morning in order to preach. He also thoroughly enjoys communicating the Bible at retreats, conferences, and pastor’s meetings of various denominations. In addition, Steve loves to teach through writing. He is a co-author of Divorce and Remarriage: A Permanence View, and many of his articles may be found at www.BulletinInserts.org, www.CCWblog.org , and www.CCWtoday.org.

In 1998, Steve earned his B.A. from Cedarville University, followed by a Masters of Divinity in 2001 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. For nearly five years prior to serving with CCW, he was the pastor of First Baptist Church of Athens, Ohio.

Along with his current ministry with CCW, Steve serves as an elder in Christ Fellowship of Kansas City (www.ChristFellowshipKC.org), a unique church made up of home congregations in the Kansas City metro area.

Steve married Patty Noble of Westwood, New Jersey, in 1998, and they now have three children: Katie, Luke, and Lilly. You can keep up with Steve’s ministry and family by visiting www.ChristCommunicator.com.

Tony Steele

After a year of Spanish language training at the Spanish Language Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica, Tony and Beverly Steele moved to Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico in May, 2012. Their ministry has involved church work, working with teams to do evangelism projects, and church planting. As time has passed, the emphasis has more and more been focusing on theological training for pastors and church leaders. Because of health concerns, it is necessary now for Beverly to move back to the United States. Tony is focusing attention on developing theological training throughout the nation of Mexico, living and traveling between the States and Mexico. With Reaching and Teaching International Ministries, it is Tony’s hope to develop projects and lead teams to do theological training in Mexico and other Latin American countries. When in the States, he plans to work in a supportive role to connect teams from the USA with Reaching and Teaching projects.
